Miss Lillian Godfreda Donnithorne Lutter – The Founder Principal 1943-1980

Born in Burma, educated in England,eventually moved to Jaipur and joined Maharani Gayatri Devi School as its
founder principal in 1943. She coined the school motto, “Utmost for the Highest”
and it truly mirrors her selfless commitment and vision for the school.

Under her, the school grew from humble beginnings into being one of the finest
schools.

Miss Lutter was awarded a Certificate of Merit from the Government of Burma
in 1943. King Geroge VI conferred her with the M.B.E (Member

Yuva Ekta Foundation

A group of students from various schools of Jaipur and NGOs performed in MGD under Yuva Ekta Foundation which
works in collaboration with Jaipur Literature Festival.
Many important issues like girl -safety, bullying, fake news,role models, wrong judgements, eve teasing,school dropouts etc.were discussed.


Author Session: JLF Outreach Program.

An Author’s session was organised at Maharani Gayatri Devi Girls' School under the Jaipur Literature Festival Outreach Program on 25th January 2020. Ms Katie Hickman, a celebrated English novelist shared her experience as a Novelist and Travel Writer. She read an excerpt from her book ' Travels with a Mexican Circus', after which the floor was open for Q&A between the students and the author.
