Introduction
Maharani Gayatri Devi Girls School, a leading Public School of India, is commencing with an annual global girls ‘Leadership Education and Discover India Programme’ in Dec 2024 for students of Grade XI at Jaipur, India.
Today, women’s lack of representation in positions of leadership is broadly acknowledged across the world, despite surveys having proved beyond doubt that women make better transformational leaders. With this said, as an All-Girls School, we felt the need and responsibility to empower and inspire young girls across the globe and equip them with leadership skills at a nascent stage, to navigate the complexities presented by the rapidly evolving digital world which is impacting our lives, society and the world dynamics.
The aim of the programme ‘LEAD-I’ is to empower young girls with essential leadership skills, foster self-confidence, infuse them with a global perspective and make global friends while familiarizing them with India and its culture. The 14-day program envisages participation by 150 inspired girls of Grade XI (15–17- year-olds), from renowned schools across the world.
Overview
The ‘Leadership Education and Discover India Programme ‘LEAD I@MGD’- 2025, Jaipur, has been designed to empower young girl students of Grade XI (15-17 Year-Olds) with all-round leadership skills as part of their overall development. It shall be conducted from Sunday, 23rd November to Saturday, 6th December 2025 at the Maharani Gayatri Devi Girls School in Jaipur, Rajasthan, India.
The programmes will comprise the following
- A comprehensive Leadership Capsule to include effective communication and public speaking, team building and collaboration, ethical leadership and social responsibility, problem-solving and decision making.
- A ‘Discover Incredible India’ capsule wherein the participants are introduced to the rich cultural heritage of India through guest talks by eminent speakers and cultural tours to heritage sights, including the Taj Mahal and wildlife/bird sanctuaries. Additionally, exposure will be provided to Indian art, music, dance and traditions to encourage them to appreciate diversity and learn from different regions.
- Instructions during the programme will be in English.
The school’s location at Jaipur, in proximity to Agra and several wildlife sanctuaries, provides an ideal opportunity to expose the participants to the diverse culture of India. Also known as the ‘Pink City, Jaipur and many nearby destinations is a treasure trove of history, art, and culture. It offers a unique blend of tradition and modernity, from majestic forts to bustling markets. The programme will provide an unforgettable experience for young minds.

Administrative Issues
Arrival
- International Participants are expected to arrive in New Delhi under their arrangements by the night of Sat, 23rd Nov / 6th Dec They will be received in Delhi and transported by bus to Jaipur.
- Indian participants are expected to arrive in Jaipur under their arrangements by the night of Sun, 23rd Nov/6th Dec. They will be received at the Jaipur Airport or the Railway Station.
Departure
After the programme, International students will be transported back to Delhi on the 14th of Dec for their onward return journey home.
Boarding and Lodging
- The students, escort teachers and accompanying mothers, if any, will be hosted on the school campus and at appropriate accommodations during the educational tour visits.
Food
Nutritious, Healthy and Tasty food will be provided with options for vegetarian, non-vegetarian and vegan. The food will be an interesting mix of Indian, oriental and western cuisine. Special dietary requirements can be catered for if informed in advance.
Medical Support
The school boasts of a 12 bedded infirmary and well-trained and certified medical staff available round the clock for any kind of medical issues. About Jaipur
About Jaipur
Jaipur is the capital and the largest city of the north-western Indian state of Rajasthan with a population of 3.1 million. Located 268 km (167 miles) from the national capital New Delhi, Jaipur is also known as the Pink City due to the dominant colour scheme of its buildings in the old city. Jaipur was founded in 1727 by Sawai Jai Singh II, the Ruler of Amer, after whom the city is named. It is one of the earliest planned cities of modern India, designed by Vidyadhar Bhattacharya.

Climate
Jaipur has a monsoon-influenced hot semi-arid climate (Köppen climate classification BSh) with long, extremely hot summers and short, mild to warm winters. Annual precipitation is over 625 millimetres (25 inches) falling mostly in July and August. In winters, from December to February, the city's average temperature remains below 20 °C or 68 °F. These months are mild, dry, and pleasant, sometimes chilly.
