As MGD steps into its 80th year it is all set to once again offer Cambridge Assessment International Education by the University of Cambridge (University of Cambridge formed the ‘Local Examinations Syndicate’ over 160 years ago). From session 2023-24 onwards Class VI and VII students will have the option to choose between Cambridge Assessment Board and CBSE. Through this international curriculum, we aim to nurture learners who are confident, responsible, reflective, innovative, engaged and fully equipped for success in the modern world.

Primary

Aimed at the holistic development of the girls in the primary, we provide a stimulating and challenging environment through a plethora of activities to channelize their innate curiosity and desire to learn into a structured growth. Apart from the syllabi as prescribed by CBSE as per NEP, the school has also introduced Cambridge books in English, Math and Science to give a global exposure to the girls and to further enhance their learning.  A normal school day comprises of music, dance, games, computer, art and craft. Students are encouraged to read books through reading week and Dear programme, activities such as mask making, card making, poetry and storytelling, circle time, show and tell etc enhance their personality. Experiential learning through events like Airport Day, Monsoon bonanza, Market Day etc where simulation of actual places and activities takes place further promotes learning in a fun way. Exhibitions, Annual Day and Sports day brings out the latent potential to the fore. Sports is outsourced to an organization which works on a structured physical programme aimed at cultivating basic skills, strength, agility and speed. Teachers take extra care to inculcate etiquettes and values and respect for the school. Even during online classes teachers connected with the students through special assembly by sharing positive thoughts and good practices reinforcing values of honesty, courage and compassion.

Middle

Middle school is the transformational phase when girls start discovering their own identity, forming opinions and having a voice. The need for a supportive curriculum is fulfilled by teaching strategies where they are encouraged to become independent learners, venture out to research based projects and find expressions through various projects, journals, power point presentations etc. The students can choose between French or Sanskrit. (French is offered to students securing more than 75% in English). Art Integrated Projects (AIP) have been introduced which further enhance their creativity and imagination. Cambridge option is being given to class VI and VII from session 2023-24 onwards. Students coming to class VI in session 2023-24 will become Day Boarders.

Senior

The senior students need a more focused, rigorous and constantly evolving academic domain. The approach in senior classes is in sync with the New Education Policy 2020 which is experiential, socratic and research based with more avenues to become independent lifelong  self-learners.

In class IX the student may choose between Hindi, Sanskrit or French as the Second Language.
