Passing Out Ceremony

The Passing Out Ceremony for the batch of 2025–26 at Maharani Gayatri Devi Girls’ School was held on 6 February 2026, in the gracious presence of Ms. Neha Singh, distinguished alumna of MGD and Joint Director, Ministry of Finance, Government of India—a living embodiment of the school’s legacy of excellence.

The ceremony began with the traditional lighting of the lamp, followed by the presentation of mementos to the outgoing students. Each student lit a diya, symbolising the enduring light of learning, memories, and values carried forward from MGD.

A spiritually significant segment followed with the recitation of sacred shloks received and translated by the Director, culminating in a solemn oath by the students to uphold the timeless values enshrined within them.

The occasion was further enriched by heartfelt reflections from the parents of the outgoing council, including the fathers of Head Girl Vedika Ved Parashar, Vice President Spriha Nahar, and Deputy Head Girl Triparna Joshi, and mothers of the Cultural Captain Divyanshi Puri and Fine Arts Captain Paavni Srivastava, who expressed gratitude for the school’s role in shaping confident, principled young women.

In her keynote address, Ms. Neha Singh fondly recalled her school days at MGD, describing the institution as a cornerstone of culture and character, where values are nurtured with a rigour and depth found nowhere else.
