Muse & Museums: Art Meets Heritage

An inspiring blend of learning and exploration for our senior art students .

Students of Classes XI & XII (Painting & Commercial Art) engaged in a unique multidisciplinary experience connecting art, heritage, and museum studies. The journey began with an interactive workshop, “Muse and Museums”, conducted by Deepika Ravjani, where students explored how art, history, and science intersect. While the session introduced valuable perspectives on museology and critical observation, it also challenged students to think beyond traditional classroom learning.

The following day, students visited Albert Hall Museum, immersing themselves in a rich tapestry of global and Indian art forms—from Ramayana and Mahabharata paintings to Persian pottery, blue pottery, numismatics, and intricate Koftgiri work. The visit offered firsthand insight into diverse art schools, cultural exchanges, and the evolution of artistic traditions.

The experience not only deepened their understanding of art and heritage but also inspired them through Deepika’s journey—from Head Girl (2001–02) to a passionate museum professional.
