Our Grade 5 students conducted an engaging science experiment to investigate how different materials conduct heat.

Using a metal spoon, plastic spoon, glass rod, and pencil, students observed how heat travelled through each material. As the petroleum jelly melted, the attached beads fell off—demonstrating that metal conducted heat the fastest, followed by glass, wood, and plastic.

This hands-on activity encouraged scientific observation, experimentation, and critical thinking while helping students understand the concept of thermal conductors through real-life application.
