Maharani Gayatri Devi Girls' School hosted an inspiring session, "Creatures of Antarctica – Big and Small: A Photo Journey to the Frozen Continent," offering students a remarkable glimpse into one of the world's most extraordinary ecosystems.

The keynote speaker, Ms. Ria Bhabu, a PhD researcher in Marine Biology, shared captivating stories and breathtaking photographs from her six-week scientific expedition to Antarctica. She introduced students to the continent's unique wildlife and marine biodiversity while explaining how her research on marine organisms could contribute to future cancer treatments, inspiring curiosity, scientific inquiry, and environmental stewardship.

The session was further enriched by the presence of Dr. Priyanka Bhabu, distinguished alumna of MGD (Batch of 1989), Founder and Director of CRIA, whose inspiring journey reflected the limitless possibilities that education and determination can create.

The programme left students with a deeper appreciation for scientific exploration, conservation, and the power of pursuing knowledge beyond boundaries.
