The Hindu Young World Quiz, organized by The Hindu Group of Publications, was held at Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan's Vidyashram, Jaipur on 19 January 2024. The event, presented by the State Bank of India, witnessed participation from students in two categories: Junior (classes 4 to 6) and Senior (classes 7 to 9). About 100 teams were part of the event. The event was led by VV Ramanan, the resident quizmaster at The Hindu.

A total of 12 students from MGD participated in the event under the able guidance of Mrs. Jaya Kapil. The quiz comprised a written preliminary round, after qualifying which the top 6 teams were selected for the final round.

The team comprising Riddhima Gupta (7E) and Aamina Chauhan (7D) made it to the final round and bagged the fifth position. They received a cash of prize of Rs 1000, a trophy and a medal.

Altogether, it was an enriching experience for all participants.
