Leadership and Adventure Bootcamp Program

"Leadership is not just about reaching the summit; it's about inspiring others to join in the adventure."

On April 10th, 2024, 29 students and 2 teacher escorts from M.G.D Girls’ School embarked on a journey to the village of Lalpura, Punjab, to participate in the Leadership and Adventure Bootcamp Program, hosted by the MU20 School of Opportunities.

Upon arrival at Anandpur Sahib railway station, the MGD team received a gracious welcome from Dr. Sumer Singh, President of MU20, and his associates. A tractor ride from the station to Kila of Lalpur, amidst lush greenery and the majestic Sutlej River, rejuvenated the weary students.

At the House of Lalpura, Mrs. Indu Singh and the MU20 team extended a warm reception to the MGD delegation.

The bootcamp commenced with leadership sessions led by Dr. Sumer Singh, providing students with diverse insights into leadership and its practical application. More sessions covered horticulture, agriculture, and Lalpura's history, facilitated by Mr. Jasmer Singh. The agricultural session proved valuable during a subsequent farm visit, enabling students to identify various fruits and vegetables.

Various activities such as the Human bingo, Kila quest, EMotorad assembly, and the Polity Project were also conducted.

Mr. Tejas Jain, CEO of MU20 School of Opportunities, conducted sessions on leadership skills and biases surrounding our daily lives. Adventure activities including kayaking, trekking, and cycling enriched the experience.

A geopolitics session by Dr. Sumer Singh shed light on global dynamics.

On the fourth and the final day, certificates of participation were awarded to all students and teachers, with winning teams of the Kila Quest, EMotorad assembly, and the Polity Project receiving medals. En route back to the station, students visited the Anandpur Sahib gurdwara before departing for Jaipur, concluding the enriching four-day bootcamp.
