MGD Girls' School organized a two-hour teacher training session on September 27th, 2024. The resource persons, Ms. Bhoomika Gaur and Ms. Pratibha Malhotra, covered the pedagogy and core instruments of Project CACA. Project CACA is an institution-driven, research-based initiative aimed at preventing child sexual abuse. The session was academic in nature and focused on sensitizing educators to the issue of child sexual abuse, broadly categorized under the following sections:
Seven Core Principles and their Derivatives
Ten WHO Life Skills and 21st Century Skills
Project CACA's seven instruments: CACA Safety Workbooks, Research/Surveys, Teacher Challenges Assessment, Litigation, Peer Review, Annual Psychology Quiz - Psych-ED, and Training Webinars.
Project CACA's six resources: Children's Picture Books, Teacher's Manual, Companion Booklets for Parents/Teachers/Non-Teaching Staff, Posters, Animated Videos, and Supplementary Worksheets.
Eleven Key Aspects for Preventing Child Sexual Abuse.
Lesson Plan Development for Teachers using the Workbooks.
Integrated, Interdisciplinary, and Inclusive Nature of the Workbooks.
The session also included a detailed discussion on the following concepts:
Equality, Equity, and Parity – Breaking Gender Stereotypes

Implicit Association Test
Fundamental Rights and Duties
Moral Reasoning and Types of Morality
Required Behavioral Changes in Stakeholders
The goal of the session was to equip educators with the knowledge, attitude, and skills necessary to understand the background of the project and ensure children's happiness, safety, and well-being. The session was well-received and much appreciated.
