All India IPSC Cricket Girls (U14) Tournament 2025

Maharani Gayatri Devi Girls’ School, Jaipur is the proud host of the historic first-ever Girls’ U-14 All India IPSC Cricket Tournament 2025.The event commenced with a vibrant Opening Ceremony on 21st April, graced by Chief Guest Ms. Reena Poonia Gwala, an alumna of MGD and former cricketer. Traditional festivities, an inspiring March Past, and group photographs with dignitaries set an enthusiastic tone for the matches.

The tournament witnessed exceptional performances across three days:

  1. Day 1 Highlights (21st April)
    • MGD vs. DPS, RK Puram: In a thrilling opening match, the host team secured a narrow 3-run victory, scoring 78/3 and defending it fiercely.
    • Modern School vs. Mayo College: Mayo College delivered a dominant performance, achieving a 35-run win by defending their commanding total of 104 runs.
  2. Day 2 Highlights (22nd April)
    • MGD vs. Modern School: Modern School narrowly triumphed, chasing down MGD’s 81/3 in 11.4 overs for a 5-wicket victory.
    • Mayo College vs. DPS: Mayo College showcased their dominance, scoring 111/1 to outclass DPS’s 95/2.

The evening concluded with the Principal’s Dinner, featuring cultural performances and heartfelt speeches by team captains. The evening ended on a celebratory note with a spirited Ghoomar Dance by MGD students, joined by the Principal.

  1. Final Day Highlights (23rd April)
    • DPS vs. Modern School: DPS claimed victory by 25 runs.
    • Mayo College vs. MGD: The undefeated Mayo College secured a 10-wicket win, clinching the championship title.

Tournament Outcomes

  • Champion: Mayo College Girls’ School, Ajmer
  • Runners-up: Delhi Public School, New Delhi
  • Third Place: Maharani Gayatri Devi Girls’ School, Jaipur

Individual Awards

  • Best Bowler: Anisha Laddha (Mayo College)
  • Best Batsman: Anaya Gupta (Mayo College)
  • Player of the Tournament: Vaibhavi Dudheja (DPS, New Delhi)

The tournament concluded with a grand Closing Ceremony, attended by Chief Guest Ms. Meenakshi Mangla. She commended the players’ skill and spirit and emphasized the importance of platforms like this for fostering future talent. A team of top players from the tournament will represent IPSC at the SGFI National Tournament.
