" It's that time of the year again when the campus echoes the house cheers, is painted in house camaraderie and comes alive with the passion to win !! IT'S TIME FOR FUCHSIA AGAIN !!"

The much-anticipated opening ceremony of Fuchsia 2025, the 13th edition of Inter-House Cultural and Literary Fest was held on 30 April 2025. The event was graced by Mrs. Archana S. Mankotia Principal, MGD Girls' School as the Chief Guest. After the auspicious start of the ceremony through lamp lighting and shlok chanting the Principal officially declared the fest open and unveiled the bright and beautiful Fuchsia Flex.

The ceremony featured a soulful Jugalbandi performance of Raag Megh on santoor, violin and tabla.

This was followed by an enthusiastic and vibratant participation of the four houses in the following dance events:

Global Groove an exciting Inter-House Western Dance Competition presented by the talented students of Grade 3rd, 4th and 5th where students of different houses performed on various themes based on countries like Korea, Spain, Brazil and Africa.

Classical Fusion- a spectacular Fusion Dance Competition featuring the dynamic and graceful performers from Classes IX to XII, this unique event challenged our senior students to explore the beautiful blend of tradition and modernity.

Highlights of the day:

Helen Keller House emerged victorious in Global Groove with Sarojini Naidu House as runner-up. Florence Nightingale House secured 1st place in Classical Fusion while Sarojini Naidu stood second. The event beautifully showcased student talent unity in diversity and the spirit of healthy competition setting an inspiring tone for the cultural celebrations ahead.

Day 2 of Fuchsia was charged with participants brimming with passion, and performances that were nothing short of exemplary. The day started with the Ultimate Indie Jam, a musical event which showcased artistic finesse, leaving the audience gaping long after the beats had ended. Another major event of the day was the Rhythmic Revolution, which perfectly captured the enthusiastic undertone of music with an expressive twist. For the Ultimate Indie Jam, the Sarojini Naidu house bagged first place, with the Helen Keller house as runner-up. The Rhythmic Revolution saw the Madam Curie house take first place with the Helen Keller house as runner-up. The day also saw artistic events like Upcycling Marvels, Flower Arrangement, and Tactile Realms, where students came together to celebrate imagination, talent and expression. MGD metaverse featured skilled participants pondering the idea of MGD in a parallel universe.

The ultimate cultural fusion encapsulates the theme —Prabodhan, a coalescence of culture, and stirred the true essence of fuchsia itself.

Where the threads of literature intertwined with creativity, and art converged with the ineffable, Day 3 of Fuchsia 2025 unfolded as a culmination of literary brilliance and artistic splendor.

The following were the events for the day: Break the Beat, Talking Tots, Story Conflux, Igniting Ideas, Nukkad Natak, Tactile Realms- The Art of Texture and Material Mystique.

The much-anticipated inter-house cultural and literary competition, Fuchsia 2025, concluded at Maharani Gayatri Devi Girls’ School. The event was graced by the esteemed presence of Mrs. Archana S. Mankotia, Director, MGD Girls’ School, who felicitated the winners, acknowledging their exceptional performances and dedication throughout the fest.

The competition was fierce, with each house showcasing remarkable talent and spirit. After days of intense participation, the results were announced:

1st Place: Helen Keller House

2nd Place: Sarojini Naidu House

3rd Place: Madame Curie House

4th Place: Florence Nightingale House

Mrs. Mankotia presented the coveted Fuchsia Trophy to the Helen Keller House, celebrating their outstanding achievements and team spirit.

The ceremony concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks, expressing gratitude to all participants, teachers, and staff who contributed to the success of Fuchsia 2025. The Cultural Captain, Atreya Jain, extended her appreciation to everyone involved, emphasizing the collective effort that made the event memorable.

As we bid farewell to Fuchsia 2025, we carry forward the spirit of creativity, collaboration, and excellence. Until next year… keep creating, keep dreaming, and carry the spirit of Fuchsia high.
