MGD Girls' School, Jaipur, celebrated the 11th International Yoga Day virtually on June 21st, 2025, with great enthusiasm and dedication, adhering to the theme "ONE EARTH, ONE HEALTH". It was attended by the school faculty and commenced with a warm welcome address by the respected Principal Madam, Mrs. Pramendra Khangarot.
The significance of Yoga was deliberated upon.
The revitalizing Yoga session was led by Ms. Sakshi Vashishtha, commencing with OM Chanting and Suryanamaskar, followed by a sequence of Yoga postures;Tadasan( Mountain Pose),Bhadrasan(Butterfly Pose), Bhujangasan(Cobra Pose),Uttanpadasan( the leg raised pose),Shavasan( Corpse Pose),Vajrasan(Diamond Pose), Trikonasan (Triangle Pose) Shashankasan(Hare Pose), Neck-rotation exercise, Shoulder-rotation exercise and many more.The benefits of these postures were thoroughly discussed, providing valuable insights into their impact on physical and mental well-being.
The session concluded with Anulom Vilom Pranayam and a Shanti Mantra.
It was an amazing experience for everyone, since it created awareness about the benefits of yoga in maintaining physical and mental health.
