MGD Girls' School offered Shraddhanjali to Her Highness Rajmata Gayatri Devi on 29 July 2025. The event resonated with deep reverence, gratitude and solemnity.
The event began with a bhajan by the school choir, followed by the Head Girl’s tribute reflecting on Rajmata’s enduring vision of women empowerment through education which thereby led to the foundation of MGD Girls' School in 1943.
Another devotional bhajan then lifted spirits, paving the way for address by the director where she expressed that “A true tribute to Her highness would be to follow in her footsteps and contribute to the society, although Her highness was born a princess and lived a queen yet that did not shield her from the hardships of life”
Followed by Maharaja Jai Singh’s heartfelt tribute expressing his memory of Her Highness as a queen and her contributions in the overall picture of society in which she moved around while highlighting that the school itself reflects in many ways whatever she wanted to achieve in life and expressed that in the many years to come it will follow the same path.
The event concluded by paying tribute to Her Highness Rajmata Gayatri Devi, reaffirming her legacy of progressive thought, steadfast discipline, and graceful leadership. The dignified proceedings were wrapped up with a deeply symbolic floral tribute as garlands were placed before her portrait, uniting students, faculty, and guests in a moment of collective gratitude and reflection .
