MGD BOARDERS - RAKHI CELEBRATIONS

The Boarding Community celebrated Raksha Bandhan with warmth and festive cheer. The celebration began with boarders tying rakhis to our respected Administrative Officer, Col. S.S. Sangwan, in a gesture of respect and gratitude for his guidance. The tradition continued as rakhis were lovingly tied to the Bearer Jis, acknowledging their constant care and support, and to the teachers.

The joyful occasion was made sweeter with the sharing of delicious sweets, filling the air with laughter and camaraderie.

And as part of a cherished yearly ritual, the boarders prepared for the festival by crafting their own rakhis, each one unique and full of personal touches. The colourful threads, beads, and patterns reflected the affection and respect they wished to express. The handmade rakhis stood as symbols not only of the festival’s spirit but also of the effort, care, and unity that define the boarding family year after year.
