MGD celebrated its 82nd birthday

<p>“Celebrate what you’ve accomplished, but raise the bar a little higher each time you succeed.”</p> <p>MGD celebrated its 82nd birthday on 12 August 2025, with great enthusiasm and deep love for the institution. An alumna of MGD from the 1970 batch, Ms. Jyoti Kathju graced the celebration as the Chief Guest. The program began with the ceremonial lightning of the lamp, paying tribute to our beloved founder, Maharani Gayatri Devi Ji. This was followed by a cake cutting ceremony, led by the youngest boarders of MGD.</p> <p>The Director, Mrs Archana S Mankotia, read birthday messages shared by the MGD family and the daughters of Rajmata Ji's vision. Heartfelt videos by MGD alumni were presented, displaying their spirit and gratitude to MGD for being their founding stone. Stories from 1943 to 2025 being shared by jijas, bringing the legacy of MGD to life.</p> <p>Finally, the much awaited moment came, and scholarships were announced.</p> <p>- Students from the batch of 2025 who scored A1 in all subjects were awarded with Roll of Honour.</p> <p>- Dr. Priya Marwah Scholarship of Excellence was awarded to the toppers in Class X.</p> <p>- The Sarla Bhargava Memorial Scholarship was awarded to the Humanities topper in Class XII.</p> <p>- Various IPSC scholarships were awarded to the meritorious girls who also excel at sports.</p> <p>Students of Commercial Art and Painting presented their artwork, the primary students performed dances showcasing their zeal and talent.</p> <p>Ms. Jyoti Kathju recalled her time in MGD with fond nostalgia, said, "Learning is a lifelong journey." The beautifully executed event then came to an end with presentation of token of appreciation, followed by Vote of Thanks by the Deputy Head Girl.</p> <p>The day instilled a feeling of gratitude and giving "Our Utmost for the Highest" among all those present.</p>
