3rd edition of the Youth Parliament

"Democracy is not a spectator sport, it is built by those who show up, speak up, and stand up."

On 2nd and 3rd August 2025, Maharaja Sawai Man Singh Vidyalaya hosted the 3rd edition of the Youth Parliament, bringing together 168 students from 56 schools across India. Three students from Maharani Gayatri Devi Girls’ School namely Vedika Ved Prakash Parashar (XII-F), Ayati Poonia (XII-F), and Anaisha Sharma (XI-G) represented the school with confidence and dedication.

The first session, held in the Rajasthan Vidhan Sabha, began with inspiring words from Mr. Vasudev Devnani and Mr. Sandeep Sharma. Vedika Ved Prakash Parashar assumed the role of Prime Minister, delivering a powerful address on Cross-Border Terrorism in the Legislative Assembly.

Across four sessions, participants debated key issues including the credibility of the words “Socialist” and “Secular” in the Preamble and the appointment of judges. The event sharpened students’ public speaking, analytical, and research skills, leaving them enriched with a deeper understanding of democratic processes.
